The Citadel Artist Community along with the Paolo Mejia Fine Arts and Design, invites everyone to attend our Open Studio the first two weekends this June. We are opening our art community to the public, where everyone can visit studios, meet and greet artists, purchase arts, and connect. Come pass by our artist commune and see a diverse artistic scene this June.

CALL for ART: “Current” – a group art show

The Paolo Mejia Fine Arts and Design and Foundry Commons are looking for artwork for our June group art show entitled “Current” that will be held at Foundry Commons’ micro-gallery on 5th Street, downtown San Jose. We are seeking guest artists to submit artwork that expresses innovation, creativeness and strength. The group art show will showcase artwork that is contemporaneous of the milieu of the post post-modernism of the art scene. We are seeking artists and artwork that breaks and defy the status quo with content and/or context. We want to see and share your creativity with the community. This group show will be parallel with Citadel Open Studio this June.

This group show is an attempt to proliferate the diverseness of the art culture in the historic old Cannery neighborhood of downtown San Jose. Our vision, is to create a new art district and connect with the community. Be part of this historic movement!

Guideline:

– Submit up to 10 images of your strongest group of work(s) available
– a website were we can see more of your work, along with your bio (if you have a
   website)
